Way back in the "Q1" days I replaced my glove box with a new one to deal with the broken hinge issue. I swapped it to this Q before I sold my first one, since it was the "new and improved" design. At this age even the updated version of the glove box apparently has the same failure - crumbly plastic and broken hinges. There's one article here about attaching metal hinges, but I didn't really like the alignment of that, so I came up with an odd solution. I ended up shaving off the hinge mounts on the inside of the glove box trim, attaching pieces of vinyl siding samples to it with multi use pipe solvent, and then attaching Lego pieces to that. The little studs that broke off on the glove box trim were also re-attachable with the solvent. It's probably not a super strong solution, but gently putting screws back in seemed to work.

That's clever. Hopefully it holds up, but a gold star for innovation in any case.
