another freakin problem...minor problem, coolant boiling when car is off

after i take my car out for a little test drive i come back home and once the car shuts off the coolant starts to boil and bubble...my waterpump is brand new, i have a brand new nismo thermostat. the only thing i can think of is the radiator cap is bad, and or i put 50/50 coolant in and i was alittle low so i added alittle extra water? did i delote it?

check the radiator cap too

i havent put a fan on yet...i am going to put one on in the next couple of days...i dont see why it only does it when i turn the car off...my gauge temp doesn't get too hot because i only take it down the street and im not stopped.

would an SR be fine with the KA rad and the SR plastic fan with no shroud

the KA and SR radiators are pretty much the same. You REALLY need a fan. Go for a longer drive and it'll boil while your car is on.

When you installed the thermostat did you make sure the air bleeder valve was at the top?

yes the little valve was on top...i am going to work on putting the fan on tonight and tomorrow. i also ordered a new radiator cap from nissan today since i work right next door. i get an employee discount, so if anyone local needs anything let me know and ill get the hook up. but yeah as soon as i get the fan hooked up and the radiator cap in ill be sure to let you guys know what happenes.
