Been having my Coupe for 3 months now and been lurking here since I got it. I finally decided to take the time to register and participate. I must say I almost got depressed reading some topics wondering if I made a good choice in purchasing a Coupe. Some of the problems and bad service were disheartening. Well it has been only 3 months but no major problems yet. The only issue I have is that dang Service Engine Soon light keeps reoccurring. It is due for its 1st service and will have it checked out. Now I don’t have anything special. With a 25k budget it was either another Camry (have one a 98) or the Coupe. Actually the choice was easy when I could get the 2.5 Coupe w/convenience and sun roof within my budget. Wish I could have gotten more but oh well. Since I became aware of these cars about 6 months ago I don’t think I have seen more than 8 or so on the streets around here (‘Nawlins, La.) This suites me fine cause I like having something a little different (unlike say.... a Camry). If you look past the Coupe in the photo below you can see my first ever new car buy in the garage (purchased in 1984).....after 24 years it has become a car not seen on the streets these day too often as well. Sorry to carry on, look forward to being part of the community.Craig

Welcome to NICO! You can remedy that service light by going through your dash computer and resetting the maintanence schedule. I just set mine to like 50,000 miles so I never get bothered by that stupid beeping.

Hmm, I know I never set the maintanence schedule when I bought it. The only thing the manual refernced to the "Service Engine Soon"light was if the gas cap was not properly tightened or an emmissions problem. Well it did happen the first time after I did my own first fill up and, even though I have been putting gas caps on cars for over 30 years I thought maybe I did not turn till the click. It took 5 or 6 days to go away. A couple of fill ups later it happened again and went away in a few days. It happened a couple more times and this last time it happed not after a fill up but when the tank got down to 1/4 tank. It remained through the next fill up and never went away. Of course I brought for its first oil change today and it was on this morning on the way to work. When I started it up leaving work to go to Nissan it went off! Apparently this is an item that has to be scheduled for service. I had to fill up on the way home so I'll wait and see if it returns as the maintenence thing has been rest for the next oil change service.

Thais photo was taken as soon as brought it home from the dealer. It does stay clean though and after washing I usually go over it with a Turtle wax express shine, easy and fast!!

Nah man, +10 hp is with the plastic license plate frame. He's got that chrome dealer license plate frame. That's +15 hp.

I can't help but notice how many people commented on how shinny his rear bumper is. One of the things i was dissapointed about with my dark slate coupe was i felt the paint was kinda dull, almost like it was overspray/orange peel looking. I clay bared mine, and hand glazed it as well as applied a very good quality wax, but it still had almost like that dull look to it...... anybody else notice that?
