Got IAP kit 7lbs of boostCurrent exhaust:2-2.5'' to a 3'' dp connects to a 3'' megan racing pipe which then connects to a 3'' test pipe which then connects to my stock 2.25'' exhaust system. Seems like my car is really hurting with the 2.25'' Should I just disconnect and leave it open after the test pipe? Belevie it was answered before that it is safe for me to do this correct? Can't find my other thread.......

Wonder if use your post in court I can have it as a defense...It's all a matter of opinion here. Subject A(cop) thinks it's loud Subject B(nismofreak) thinks it's not Judge: case dismissed

Of course, what does a judge know.

Just tell the cop your exhaust disconnected and you are trying to get home to fix it.

it wont hurt anything

i ride around with an open downpipe (liek the first section on the IAP kit about 18" of 3" pipe), its loud but not unbearable. jsut do it and see what you think

An open downpipe will be sufficient on a KA.

Get the ATP virtual exhaust system...problem solved. Install it right after the 3" dp or test pipe. Bypass the rest of the 2.25" exhaust system (btw, I don't think OEM exhaust is even 2.25"....i think it's more like 2").

Or, you can do what I did. Throw a Magnaflow straight-thru glass-pack right at the end of the downpipe...it muffles it enough so that you won't draw negative attention, but it's still loud enough, and mean sounding...and it's a straight through design and has little or no backpressure. And it costs only $16 or so!
