I agree, lack of oversight for this kinda stuff seems to plague our government, and is disturbing regardless of what party occupies the white house. For example, how could Bernie Madoff have gotten away with his crimes for so many years? But it would certainly be interesting to know who the congressional sponsor was that vouched for these bums and what they knew about it.WDRacing wrote:I don't really care who backed this firm to get the money. When the GAO becomes an independent, non-partisan, watchdog group, that reports to its stakeholders (TAXPAYERS) just like every other auditing office, we'll be well on our way to a trustworthy system.
I'm not optimistic.
