another cursed 240

Ok, so I bought my 95 240sx back in june, '08. So i got it and it was the bright red factory paint. the guy i bought it off of had painted the rims gunmetal, replaced radio, cold air intake, and replaced the timing chain. otherwise still factory. as far as I know.

Before you read, My dads a gear head, and my brother went to UTI car school.

1) I decided to paint the car black cause It was what I had in mind since i had my last 240. well the paint didn't cure right on the rear bumper, mirrors, door handles, and wing. every bit of dust and dirt on the road for the next 2 weeks stuck to it.

2) Driving home from work 1 day and a woman ran the stop sign on the off ramp and I locked up the brakes and slid off the road and into the other lanes guard rail. damaged bumper lights and fender....later fixed fender and replace lights....done

3) Me and a friend took the car out for a spin a couple months later and decided to go drifing, well ends up the guy didn't do a good job with the gasket cause when I was in the middle of drifing, the gasket blew and oil started spilling out without me knowing and I spun a bearing.

4) We finally got the parts I needed bout a month later(income problem) pulled the engine and replaced everything needed. Put the engine back together and back in the car. well my dad didn't torque the sump on and the lack of oild to the timing chain burned up the guide to nothing.

5) Brother didn't tighten down shifter when he put the engine/transmission back in car and had ton of gear oil pour out when I passed someone.

6) When we replaced the timing chain, dad messed it up and got timing off and bent all intake valves....new head.

7) Was replacing steering wheel and didn't have torque bit with key/hole in it, so used set of vice grips. Well had them set so tight when I went to take them off they popped and flung into my windshield

8) Day before graduation, headed to mall to get clothes for graduation, someone cut me off and slid into another guard rail. same interstate bout 7 miles away. person ran, i was stuck on the guard rail... so SOL. This time it was the same as last time but all the way down left side. And cracked windshield all the way across expanding last times crack.

9) Went out with same friend as last time and went down some old back roads since it was wet . Well I was goin around a turn clutch kicked it....goin perfect, kicked it back, and didn't see a rock bigger than my head in the middle of the road til i hit it. dented spot behind my right rear tires(body kit mount), warped 1/4 panel, and messed up camber/caster/toe of rear tire, plus put a big dent in my HKS 3" exhaust.

10) Replaced door, fender, and lights. Started to save up for wide body 1/4 panels. On a rainy day I was headed to work one day and turned into my work, turned into the parking lot and the poor drainage on the road combined with my cold air intake cause ton of water in the engine. Well this cause the rod in cylinder 4 to snap and blow a hole in my oil pan.

and ther car has gotten me 3 tickets. one of which the cop only had his radar gun ready cause he heard my exhaust

2 of the major mistakes were made by your father and your brother who went to UTI [which reinforces the rumors that the school sucks, I personally have no experience with them]. This is why I dont let ANYONE touch my car unless I triple check everything they did.

Dont drift in the street sorry to hear about the accidents that werent your fault.

I have to agree with you DriftBoy07 on UTI, everyone I've heard hasn't really come out of there with much more skill than they had before htey paid 30k for the school.

Don't really think you would want this, plus by the time I fix everything and go to sell it I'm gonna be asking 'round $7,500 (I've got more done than what I got listed, plus extra parts)

And as far as everything else. I can drive, not the best by far, but can drive. I am clumsy, but not behind the wheel. And finally, no more drifting for me for a while, and I'm getting a truck cause I need it for hauling and it will keep me from trying to do all the stupid stuff I've done in a car.

if you watch the road you can tell when s***s gonna happen. Avoiding accident by crashin into rails aint no good.

no, but at the speed i was still goin and the distance between me and the other car in the first one, i saved the car by doing so, otherwise my front end would have been gone. there was probably a 20-25mph difference when i was bout 20 feet from her, thats why i let off and hit the guard rail. still not a good end i know

you cannot drive and the people helping arent paying enough attention to what they are doing. i had the problem of people messing up my bmw and the wheel flew off when i was doing 90mph and it was the only wheel that i didnt touch amongst other stories as well. do it yourself unless you take it to a certified shop.

wow, you need to let a real mechanic or at least someone who knows what they are doing work on your car.

avoiding the accident may have saved your car somewhat but thats what insurance is for. your s*** could have been paid for by their insurance

why the hell are you clutch kickin it out on wet backroads? thats the stupidest s*** ive ever heard. one of my friends got killed because someone hit him while he was walking down the side of a backroad.

stop tryin to be cool by drifting, obviously you just f*** things up. your motor leakin all the oil out is bs. ive had many cars and i always knew when there was an oil leak. burning oil smell, smoke, etc.

ditch the cai. ive run into water that was so deep it came inside the car TWICE and still on the same motor. i was drivin down a country road and a creek flooded the road pretty bad.

Her insurance did pay for it, I just didn't want another 240 to go to the salvage yard.

Sorry that you lost a friend like that. the roads i do it on are old country roads, where the grass on the side of the road is bout 2' tall, so I can see if there is someone around the bend unless they are laying in the road.

the oil leak was at the bottome of the engine where the oil pan meets the front cover so it didn't land on the engine where it was hot enought to make it smoke. I don't do it to be cool, me and my friend do it for fun. if i wanted to look cool, i would do it on the main roads so people could see. idc bout people seeing me drift, good or bad drift.

And the only reason why my car messed up like it did with the water(I believe) is cause of the fact that the water was deep enough to consume the filter, it sits by my foglight its so low.

I feel bad for that 240sx......dude if i were you just put her to sleep or sell her to someone who wont drift and whatnot.....plus that gives you a chance to get a S13 coupe! I saw a super stock champagne one today and i offered the guy $2k......it only had 150k on it....super clean SE with Hicas ! Anyway man good luck with the car either way and please keep it safe! ( I always say go to the track or a sanctioned area to drift or whatever ) no one should loose there lives over fun its not worth it.BTW before you go to any school you should google them and see if they scammed anyone or had any problems and i could find pages and pages of scams and problems with UTI.enough flaming! better things to do have a good night and good luck
