well im working on getting my car back into shape. I've been trying to fix this problem all weekend and have been googlin like crazy! btw I have a 93 240sx stock engine / auto trans. anyways I press the cruise control button and the light turns green and i can hear the relay click. but i can't get it to engage. no light on the cluster. I've tested both relays, vacuum pump, switch by the brake pedal. I put a volt meter to the acsd box and its getting voltage. i disconnected the rear lights and the problem continues. is there anything else that could cause the system not to engage the c/c? thanks!

Have you checked the solenoid itself? It may be engaging electronically but the actuator may be damaged/malfunctioning. It's even possible that the cruise control cable is loose, causing it to not hold the throttle in it's proper position.

I've checked the solenoid and its working. I hooked it up to a 12 volt source and like magic it works. I have a horn all good there!

i had a similar probelm last year when mine was being stupid. it ended up that the vacuum hose had a small crack in it causing it to not hold any pressure. $1 fix for some hose and ta da!! she works!! it lasted a year or so until now, then it started crappin out on me again. so i just got mad and ripped the sob outta there.
