This is why the teacher should be in the NEA or the state equivalent. If she represented herself as a teacher and thus a part of the school, then she should probably expect to loose her job. I know I have to be careful with my company.

*Based on the article (without details its hard to assume wrong doing on the part of the school district.)

She told a lie, got caught. She could have been / would have been fired, and they gave her the chance to resign instead. You see that done a lot. The company lets you resign to save face, and your resume. So now she wants money damages for sex discrimination? I don't see how she has a case. Maybe she should have read her contract better.

*I'd really like to know what "illness or bodily harm" (image 7) she suffered that lets her sue for damages. Wow. After reading that whole complaint, I don't think she has a case.

Simple answer:

As a state employee, one of the conditions of my employment is that employees shall conduct themselves in a manner that doesn't bring "embarassment" to the State. Disciplineary action can be taken, up to and including termination.

She's screwed.

Here's the deal: You can have all the freedoms you want, but that doesn't mean you can act like an assclown and expect to be immune to consequence.

Another example of people misinterpreting Liberty.

Doing whatever you want is not freedom, it's hedonism. Everyone doing what they want is not liberty, it's anarchy.

Well, she is free to make any decision she wants. But she can't expect her employer not to excercise their own freedoms.

Very well said.

It always amazes me how people think they have the right to do anything they want, so long as it doesn't violate any of the laws in place. Well I suppose you can, but you'll be serving me fries while you do it.

Want to be successful? Grab a decent set of morals, stfu and listen to other people that have been there, pull your fvcking pants up, speak the chosen language take responsibility for you actions.

How friggin hard is that?
