I have a 90 s13 with sr20 swap and I have a prblem with starting the car when it is cold. It takes up to 13 cranks to get it to start then it idles high and runs fine. I am thinking the iacv but I am not sure. Once I get it started and warm it runs fine all day and if I do not let it sit for more than 3 hours it will start up fine. But as soon as the engine gets cold again it takes forever to get it started. BTW it also idles high all day like 1100-1400 and every once and a while it drops to 850 but that is not very often. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

could be an iacv on the high idle, but not likely if you're having a hard start. check your timing and fuel pressure. Have you also calibrated the tps?

So check the engine timing or ignition timing? I think it is something else because it will not start for 10-13 cranks then it will just start right up without any hesitation. The only clue to some other problem is the constant high idle at every red light even when the car is warm. Every once and a while the car will idle down but it usually only happens once or twice a day if at all. Also at idle it kind of skips. So maybe it is ignition timing. But once the car is warm it starts fine until it gets cold again. This is my first sr20det and 240 so I might need some pointers in getting the timing adjusted. Thanks
