Hi all,After replacing my Air Flow Meter sensor about 2 months ago, my SES light came back again. I took it to Autozone and Advance Auto and the error code comes back as P0430 Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2).

I did a search and this could be a bad O2 sensor or a bad catalytic converter? What do you think it problem is and what should I replace?

2001 3.5L Pathfinder SE with about 62k miles on it.

Thanks in advance.

For $80 less, you can remove the old one, throw it on the ground, and reinstall it. Drive it for a week to give it plenty of time to perform the test again. If the CEL is still on, then you can replace the O2S.

I'm seeing the same 0430 code. 2001 w/ 66K miles.

By throwing the O2 sensor on the ground are you suggesting this might clean or unjam it in some way ?That is to say this code could be caused by a dirty or clogged O2 sensor ?

If I do replace the O2 sensor, does that require a ECM reset ?

Colin..
