$49.99 buy it now price. Would ebay cats be a gamble? I know other exhaust parts seem to be working quite well. No moving parts. Any guess on gains compaired to brand name high flows?

Thanks for the reply. I actually remeber that post. He tested resonated test pipes. Pretty much something that would be hard to mess up. Pretty much just a pipe(X2). I'm curious about cats. I would like to keep my car legal. But if i can't find a low cost solution i may be forced to go with resonated test pipes like kenrik.

Remember that there is a decent amount of platinum in a good cat.

You think they can get the steal, the platinum, R&D, and labor in for $50?

Oh well. Test pipes it is. If they can't make a cheap solution, then I don't need it.

i don't trust no brand test pipes from ebay. the cheapest are around 155 shipped, resonated test pipes that is. i just ordered mine and i think they are coming in sometime this week. i have a friend with an M3 and jvt headers so he recommended the brand. heres the site..

http://www.hopupracing.com/

they also have high flow cats but they are more than double the resonated test pipe price.

I still suggest HFCs because I hug/hump trees.

Ive found the JVT headers for $199.99 shipped. Ive looked at other forums and they seem to say that JVT makes really good knock offs. I think i'll be ordering them once my checks clear. *damn banks and their holidays and such*

I don't think they high flow.....I think they are just regular cats. I have cats now. I don't want to swap to something just as restrictive.

My hard copy Summit catolog lists them as high flow! I noticed they also have Dynomax converters. http://store.summitracing.com/...w=sku

I'm going to deal with headers first before i finally decide about cats. We shall see. There is still time for me to do more research.
