Timing's off - or bad gas (since it starts with ether)

if it starts with starting fluid then more than likely you have a bad fuel pump. even if it is getting fuel pressure it may not be enough to start the engine on. the only way to know for sure is to do a pressure test on it. also it is possible for it to have a really clogged fuel filter too. i would install a new filter and try it then. if it still is a no go then you really need to get a gauge on it and test the fuel pressure. i cant remember how much pressure is required but im sure somebody else will chime in and answer that question

The pressure readings should be as follows:At idle with vacuum hose connected on FPR: 33 psiAt idle with vacuum hose disconnected: 43 psi

i will take a look at the schematics tomorrow. do you have access to the schematics ? anyhow it still sounds like a fuel related issue.

If you are not hearing the fuel pump come on for 5 seconds when you turn the key to on(not start), that would narrow the problem.

The ECCS relay and fuel pump relay are both blue beside each other. Switch them to see if that causes your fuel pump to prime. The computer sends ground to the fuel pump relay when it wants the fuel pump on so dont jumper it.
