I've been searching forums for the past two weeks to try and figure this out...I'm not very experienced with engines yet, so i've tried to get some friends to help me on this.

Car will crank just fine. But will not get any gas. What we've tried so far...

Tested for spark: replaced plugs, and tested...sparked just fine

Fuel Pump: replaced fuel pump with Walbro (was gonna do this along the line anyway) Fuel pump comes on when key is turned to On (its loud as hell, cant miss it now)

Still no start, so tried spraying brake cleaner directly into the throttle body to simulate fuel. Engine actually started and ran for about 10 seconds.

So I guess we narrowed it down to a fuel issue. My question now, is what do I do to troubleshoot from this point on.

*One other thing. Before this happened, car was running fine, except for it taking longer to turn over during a cold start (would have to crank with accelerator pedal floored for about 3-4 seconds)

Take the line off running from the fuel filter and make sure its getting fuel up there, also replace the filter since your there.Check and see if there is any fuel leaking from the injectors onto any wires

I see one not so great move with this diagnosis. DO NOT SPRAY PARTS CLEANER INTO THE THROTTLE BODY! It is extremely bad for the intake. There are many sensors that you could have ruined.

I would start with fuel flow issues. Since you've already checked spark, there is only one more area to check for the ignition process and that is air delivery. I would make sure you're getting proper air flow to the engine along with proper fuel flow.

Check your injectors, inspect your fuel lines straight from the pump to the injectors and make sure there is no blockage or buildup. You say the pump is working, but it may not be getting fuel(or the right amount of fuel) to the engine.

Do. Not. Hold the injectors and try to watch them shoot fuel while they're outside of the engine. They can and will shoot fuel straight into your body and kill you.

It would also be a good idea at this time to check(and replace) your sensors after such smart moves like spraying brake cleaner into the intake. There might be buildup, they might have malfunctioned.

Yeah, the spraying of cleaner wasn't my idea, and i wasn't very comfortable about it either, but they insisted they knew what they were doing...

thanks for the input so far, i'll try it out and see what happens
