I've searched and searched, but haven't found the answer I'm looking for, since every one is concerned with drifting and I'm not

Here are my Coilover requirementsFairly good rideDecent PriceDon't give crap about drifting, I want the best grip coilsNot road raced or autocross all time but every now and thenSome adjustability

Basically I want a coilover that is a good setup for daily driving, but still has better handling and response

Remeber I don't care about drifting so make it a good grip set up

I was thinking along the lines of Apexi N1 ProJic FLT-A2Tein HATein FlexOR should I just get a good spring/strut combo?

Thanks in advance

I know you dont care about drifting, but why is the Tein HE not considered? It is just as good for grip as it is for drift imho.

Isn't the HE disontinued?

And isn't it unsafe to have a drift-ready suspension for a daliy driver? Like say you have to do some quick evasive driving and end up doing an uncontrolled drift, and **** **** up

I have them and to tell you the truth i dont know what makes them "drift spec". I think the reason they are advertised that way is because they are adjustable in many ways like the front camber, and double height adjustable and such. I dont drift with them yet, and they work well for grip to me. The JIC FLT-A2 that you mentioned has many of the same features that make the HE good, even the same spring rates. Those arent considered drift coilovers. If you use some really grippy tires, you should be golden. Ive heard of people that autox with the HE, they might be able to give you a better opinion. Go with JIC FLT-A2 if you are worried about it and want similar features, or the Tein flex for better ride quality.

very good suggestions there, the flt-a2's seem a little expensive compared to some of Tein's products, but you do get a little more with them, i think they are supposidly more well dampened than the H series Teins.

i get confused as to which is which, but the drift spec coilovers i think are designed to take more lateral forces than other coilovers. i wouldnt worry about an unintentional drift, that type of over/understeer is adjusted by spring rates and sway bars, and the spring rates i think are the popular 8/6 that is found as default for a lot of coilovers.

i have a set of flt-a2s on the way for a daily driver car.

i would get either the HA or the flex, the HA is you wnat a more "track worthy" coil, and the flex for more street use. jerome has the flex's on his 240 and it rides relaly nice (for coils) and handles much better than stock...

the HA would allow you a bit more track adjustbility and firmer ride(stiffer)

both the FLT-A2 and ESSPECIALLY the N-1pro would be overkill(and probably too stiff) for your specifications.-chet

Do you care if you can adjust dampening on the fly? If not, go with the Koni Yellows. As for springs, that's all up to you. I use g/c.
