okay so i've used the "searched function" and one post was saying it was either the bcm or radio?... that post was a year old.... i'm getting the battery drain issue.... alternator checked out fine, loads seems to be ok... problem is after half a day of not using the car, it would not start up again... my battery is about 5 mos old and i went back where i bought it and had it replaced yesterday... car sat overnight and car started fine.. but then again this is a new battery.. wondered if anyone finally figured out where the culprit is or any quick fix.. i know there is a drain somewhere ( duh ), but this drain just happened out of the blue...

Once I had a battery drain issue with my Camaro. I can't tell you how many mechanics looked at it and how many switches, batteries and crap I changed.

One day I went out to crank it. Opened the passenger door and reached across. When I did, I noticed something down between the seats. It was the light from the center console. I had a CD case in there that was keeping the lid from closing all the way and keeping the light on.

Just a suggestion...check everything and make sure all your lights are going out.

I don't know what the normal battery drain is in ma but you mayhave to search in the FSM

You can check with one of these.

A little pricey but this meter should last you the rest of your life. You could also find something a little cheaper. It is also possible to replace a battery with a defective one but measuring the electrical draw when the vehicle is shut down will provide a clue.A battery hydrometer will also allow to to check the condition of the battery cells.

so far, with the new battery on, it has passed the "overnight test".. car has been starting fine.. need to test if there is a drain though somewhere... i'll try not to use it for 2 days and see what happens...
