Another airbag light question.

Hello folks, just got a 2001 Pathfinder LE, very nice car with low miles. I have a flashing airbag light on. I did the key on and off reset and it changed to a long flash followed by a short flash,,which repeats. My understanding that is a code 11 which is "front passenger airbag off indicator light". Now what exactly does that mean? I took it to Nissan of Greenville today and they basicly said its to old. They cant read codes and parts aren’t available. Any ideas? I can fix it if i can figure out whats actually not working.

I don't know why they wouldn't be able to read the airbag codes with their consult-II scan tool...

Did you take a look in the FSM?

Im paraphrasing what he said. If he ran codes it would likely not help. He said the ability to read exact code isnt there. I am guessing thats a very generic code and could be multiple guesses as to what it actually is. But i will look at FSM and thanks.
