... actually I just have a condition where I trade cars once a year, apparently.

Lucked out and found a car identical to mine a few hours away (save the small difference of theirs having a 6MT and mine having a CVT), and was able to bring mine in and trade. Saving money on the payment too since the overall amount financed is less than what I ended up with on my first 2010.

So now, I own a 2010 3.5SR in Super Black with Red Leather and a 6 SPEED MANUAL. FINALLY. I'm excited.

Unfortunately, I left the y-pipe and the Tein Springs on it (just was not a lucrative endeavor with respect to time or money for me to remove them), so someone in Gainesville, GA can find a low mileage, 2010 AC in Super Black/Red Leather with Teins and a racingline y-pipe at the Carriage Nissan dealership.

Let me tell ya - it HURTS looking at the coupe at stock ride height again, but it is nice not cringing at the sight of potholes or speed bumps. The Tein S-Techs sit REALLY low (much lower than eibachs) and while looking good, they're just not suitable for daily driving if there are terrible roads in your area.

Anyway - now having the 6MT opens up several modifications avenues that were previously denied by the CVT. I believe I'm thinking LSD and turbo.

Just thought I'd create some traffic on here. Haven't been online in a while, and some of the topics that were floating around a few months back are still around, and not because they've been active. haha

Cheers and happy new year!

(doesn't this make me the forumer to have owned the most Altima Coupes now with three? :rotfl )

I thought of doing the same but the logistics made it impossible.

LSD ... turbo ... wasted

You want performance - stop deluding yourself as it's time you buy a proper sports car

I love the way my coupe looks. Thats why i bought it. May the 2.5 been a mistake. I think its sexy and unique. Im happy i never see any. Remember how it was back in 2002? Every other car was a neon or dodge caravan/voyeger

Like others have said, it's the looks and uniqueness the a/c has that keeps some from moving to another car.

I imagine one day we'll see an AWD conversion. That would be quite the sight.

True!
I`m no spring chicken. even tho I miss our xterra and my large trucks/van I have been looking at different vehicles like the smaller PU lines. all that goes away when I get back in the AC and drive away... It`s the 2.5 6MT< but I bought it for fuel savings and it does just that... The Altima Coupe does have great body lines! it is comfortable, peppy for a 2.5 and gets good mpg`s. It`s not one of my past 460 powered cars, but not apple to apples either...lol...
Plus 1...

Says the guy with the Grand Prix and G SEDAN in his avatar.

Every response I've seen you write is nothing but a downer and buzzkill to anyone doing anything besides oil changes and tire rotations with an Altima Coupe. Why do you even own one? And why do you even use these forums? If you're just buying a G or an AC to keep them stock and enjoy driving them, then great. Good for you. I won't judge. Plenty of people do it everyday. Doesn't mean you have to $#!t on everyone that wants to do something different with theirs.

I could afford a GT-R right now if I wanted to buy one. Turns out I enjoy other things besides cars, and I don't want the stress of owning one. They're very high maintenance vehicles, and I need to drive my car everyday. A GT-R is so much more than the $85,000 MSRP. So, the GT-R is not for me at this point in time. I like to feel a certain way with respect to seating in my vehicles - the G37 coupe is not for me. I couldn't adjust the seat and steering wheel in a way that I felt comfortable in it. It does not sit like a sports car to me. I also like to have a bit of space and visibility in my vehicle, so the 370Z is not for me.

But, I can do whatever the hell I damn well please with my vehicle, and I can share my modifications/schemes/ideas with fellow ENTHUSIASTS, which is what this board is intended for in the first place.

So if you've got nothing to contribute besides your cynicism, GTFO.
