Another 240sx noob joins ;)

Just got an old '91 auto 240sx for my girlfriend in relative good condition for its mileage - 168k, despite a leaking exhaust and bad valves. I don't know too much specific infos about the 240sx, so I'll be asking quite a bit of questions in the future (yes, I'll search first, god knows we had enough trouble with that at club3g...)

Actually, right now I can't decided on what to do with the engine, should I try to repair it (and have something else break in the not-so-far-future), or just drop another engine in it? Considering the rather limited budget I have to work with at this moment (no more than $3k). Any one has any suggestions?

If the valves are bad, chances are that it's not the only thing.

My suggestion would be to find an engine in a junkyard and swap that in, that way you don't have the troubles of a turbo'd engine (if you were to swap in an sr20 or ca18). Hope this helped, if you need anything msg me on AOL --- > blink0rsaves (its a zero)
