Right now the 19 year-old driver, is recovering from burns and head injuries after his car caught on fire during the early morning rush hour.

The explosion happened near 41st and Louise, across from Sam's Club. Sioux falls police tell us Cody Doohen was driving his Nissan over the speed limit, lost control, and eventually hit a van.

He was taken to Sanford hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries. Doohen was cited for reckless driving. He was going over the speed limit..
