Another 2001 QX4 remote fob question

I find myself in need of the difficult-to-find KBRASTU10 Model A (not to be confused with the 01A) for my 2001 QX4.

My question is: does the 4 button (lock/unlock/panic/trunk) KBRASTU10 Model A for the QX4 like the original 3 button (lock/unlock/panic)?

And if so, what does the trunk button do?

I haven't tried the 4-button remote so can't speak to whether it would work or not, though my money would be on no. I can say the 4th button would absolutely do nothing (I looked into getting one and trying to wire it to open the rear hatch or something). The receiver simply isn't set up to do anything with that other button's signal.

Thank you! You not only saved me money, but you spared me any additional loss of my wife's confidence in my car knowledge! I've already tried 2 other models. I figured I was safe with the model A, but there seems to be more to it than that.

It would help if my rig wasn't built on the transition date between remotes, like June or July 2000...

When my remote died I found a seller on ebay that was familiar with the various remotes used by Infiniti and Nissan. I bought an exact match used one from him and programmed it to work with my car. Worked flawless ever since.
