Most people will prob think this is ridiculous, but theres just a few noises my car makes inside that annoy the heck out of me. One is I think my sunroof needs to be tightened, two is theres a rattle coming from the back that I havent pinpointed, maybe from the locks for the fold down seats? If I do above 80 mph the windshield has some wind noise, maybe a bad seal? And also the passenger side seat belt rattles around banging off the plastic side molding, so I have to adjust the seat and position it so it is stuck between the seat and side.

Anyone else have these annoying sounds?

I have the same noises on my coupe as well. The dealer just keeps telling me that they either didn't hear anything or that it's normal. I brought mine in almost 20 times already for pieces falling off getting loose, rattling everything. I wanna love the car, but Nissan's "Durability" that they advertise is so far unimpressive.

I have noticed the seat belt against the side noise, and I hate it. Once you adjust the belt and seat it is fine but thats a hassle in itself.

In regards to your sunroof, I believe there was a bulletin released for that. You will find it somewhere on this forum.

Thanks guys. I was starting to wonder if I had the only noisy altima. I'll take a search for the noisy sunroof thread. And your right CandianCoupe, I can adjust the belt to wedge between the seat and interior side but it is a hassle.

I hate the noise of the passenger seat belt. I have to adjust it every time someone vacates the seat!

Other noises/loose pieces i've noticed are...- Ceiling liner around sunroof was loose and rattling. I was able to push it up and somehow snap it in, and that is solved.- Plastic around start button moves around a little bit.- The stuffing in the passenger seat makes funny noise when you squeeze the pieces behind your shoulder. Also, passenger seat seems to move around a little bit.- Center console was loose. Rear screws came loose, one fell out. Tightened screws and fixed.- When you slide the center console armrest all the way forward, it does not snap in place and keeps sliding back.

I had a similar to what you describe. I had a big argument with one of the service advisers and he said it was nothing. I finally convinced one of the mechanics to hop in the back seat to hear it and he got it right away. There are a coupe clips at the back where the head liner ends and the rear window starts and one above the small window on the sides. It took him 15 min to snap the clips in to place. For some reason the were not fastened from the factory or something is what he described. It was the worst most annoying sound. Now its gone and I am finally happy. This seems to be a common problem. Also my arm rest was squeeking but I dont care as long as the other problem was gone. Some people may confuse the location of the sound with their sunroof but I would suggest you get someone to drive your car and you sit in the back. I thought it was the dome light but I did the fore mentioned and figured where it was coming from. Hope this helps.

The seatbelt rattle is the most annoying thing in the car. I usually pull the buckle all the way up and over the seat.

Also, whenever i dont drive the car for a while and when i make my first stop, the brakes squeak like no tomorrow. But only the first few times i break. Weird.

Ya, I'll have to take some time to really look into the noises and see if I can easily fix them. I've been hesitating bringing it up at the dealer cuz I'm afraid they'll want to take the car for the day.

I was able to determine the sound from my sunroof could be eliminated if I applied pressure to it with my hand.

Ya its just the loose or unfastened clips then. They held my car for a greater part of the day so dont make any plans. Just give them the heads up and make sure you point it out exactly so you can save doing multiple trips.

Hi... All those annyoing problems you have, I have already been through. So I can def. understand your pain.

For the seat belt problem they added a button to the seat belt strap so that the buckle part was a little higher up. Problem fixed!!! I was so happy till more noises came.

Then its the sun roof noises... I have brought my car to the dealership countless of times complaining about this specific noise. This is still an ongoing problem. The service manager should jump off a bridge for telling me that there is no problem!!! Just yesterday I finally delt with different service manager at the same dealership and he stated that their is a problem with the sunroof and he has to order parts!!! NOW im just waiting for them to come!

The the squeeling breaks are the calibrator? I think thats what they told me, were replaced and are cover under warrenty!!!

So everything can be fixed you just can not give up, keep on complaining because its just not fair to have a brand new car with these kind of stupid problems.

talking about annoying noises, for the 2.5s out there when you gas to 3k rpm does the engine make a loud roaring noise? is that the intake or w/e making that noise cuz it seems like its using a lot of power to move. to me its like its struggling and it bothers me. but if this is normal then i guess i dont hafta worry about it prob cuz we have a 2.5?

and for a new car with 1.5k miles what shouldn't you do exactly cuz im getting all this info from people on stuff i shouldnt do and everytime its difffernt so what do u guys think. something about breaking in my engine.

im thread jacking all over the place gg

I'm having the between-sunroof-and-sunglasses-holder noise also, it's really annoying, I have a 2002 civic and is less noisy than my new 3000 miles A/C. DAMN!

Same here. My 2000 Civic was like a Lexus compared to this rattle trap! I think it would really help everyone to post pics of what is rattling and how you fixed it if you can track down the source.

i have this annoying noise on my passenger window, about half the time i roll my window up or down it sounds like its scraping against something...

i wanted to take my panel off to see if there was something lodged in there just havent got around to it yet. theres no scratches on the window so it couldnt be something too hard if there was something in there

within the past month or so my car just started making this sound that I can't quite explain. It's coming somewhere from up front , possibly the engine, although I have not been able to pinpoint it exactly. I hear it when I get out of my car all the time. It is like a loud pinging/thunking (dn't kno how to write the sound lol) definately a metal sound. I don't ever hear it while I'm drivng, but prob bc the radio is on, but I hear it when I get out of my car almost every time, whether the car is running or if its off. makes me kind of nervous.

Dude, I have the same noise. It's not whenever I roll it up or down... it's only when I do one or the other. But I can't remember exactly which. I think it's when I roll the window down. Same window too. I just figured it was some of the wires Robert put when he installed my illuminated kickplates but I guess not.

ok ya I paid attention to it today, its only when I roll my passenger window up. and its most, not all, of the time. I asked my brother (mechanic) and he said it could be the motor to roll up the window

im still not sure, its not too annoying though just makes me nervous rolling my windows up/down

thank the good lord i'm not the only one experiencing all of this crap. it seems like every time i get in the car i hear a new creak/squeal/bump, and it's driving me insane. as someone else said, i want to love this car, but i didn't spend $30k+ to be driven insane by noises whenever i drive

i can't even narrow down most of the noises to tell the dealership where to start looking. i do think i have the sunroof problem everyone else has been mentioning though. can someone post a link to the bulletin here?

one new noise i just discovered recently is when i open/close my windows. when i put them down, they both make some kind of grinding noise for a split second, as if the motor is dying. when i put them back up, once they get all the way closed and sealed, they both make this really annoying creaking sound

also, my speakers continue to buzz/vibrate on higher-pitched sounds (talk radio, high keyboard/piano keys, etc.) and so far the dealership hasn't been able to do anything. i'm pretty sure it's actually an issue with the speaker covers and not the speakers themselves
