Is it possible to run angel eyes with my factory HIDs? I have seen them with and without the projectors. I don't really like them with projectors but I know I can get them without them but I want to use my factory lights and harness. Is this possible without modification?

Sup Johnny,

You dont want to do those Ebay ones unless your going to do projectors on them. They have really bad output. You can do it to your Stock 02-03 Headlights its been done plenty of times heres a link for the angel eyes that are used.

Hope that helps.

well in my thread i posted my output and they were actually really decent for ebay headlights, if you checked... plus i think i can vertically tune it. But he doesn't want projectors anyways. I would strongly urge you not to put HIDs in headlights without projectors. I mean I have done it as well before I got my projectors, but they do produce a lot of glare and may blind oncoming traffic. Worst case you might even get pulled over and a ticket, depending how strict they are in your state. my .02

I actually took a look at your thread . Your lights look good.

From what i can tell Johnny drives a 02-03 Maxima that come STOCK with D2S 4300k HID bulbs. It was one of the upgrades that nissan put on the 5.5 maxima from the 00-01 which i have . So HIDs look just fine on his headlights. Thats why I gave him a link to some good Angel eyes he can install into his already HID headlights its been done plenty of times on the org.

If you end up buying those ebays ill buy your headlights johnny to match my 5.5 conversion

haha sorry i'm stupid. I had to read over it to realize that it is just the rings! in that case some people on the org put some CCFL ones like on the new beamers in, so you can seem them during daylight too pretty cool. The stock HID headlights came with a lense right?

I have seen the ring kit but my wiring skills are not to good plus the whole oven thing kind of freaks me out knowing my luck I'd melt my lights and be totaly f***ed. I love the look of McSteve's lights even without the hids they look almost like hids so what bulbs did you use. I am starting to like the projector look so i might just do it. If my girl will let me spend the $

well my bulbs ARE 8000K HIDs. There is a projector in em, but you gotta be careful cos all those ebay people use different sockets than stock. I had 9006 6000K HIDs in my stock headlights, thought I could keep em, but the ebay headlights were H3s.

And I'm pretty sure all that projector means is the round lense in front of the bulb. Instead of being just reflectors like halogen lights, they project through the lense.

EMAIL SENT !!!!

You should honestly think this threw though. No offense to Mcsteve but you going from your factory stock HIDs to those projectors will be a downgrade. The only reason you would by those are if you were to do BMW or Acura TSX projectors. If anything there are a set of Ebay projectors on sale on the org, you might want to scope those out.
