Nissan's former Chief Operating Officer appeared to have landed the sweet gig after leaving Nissan in late 2014, but he's now out at Aston Martin as the company restructures to stay afloat. Palmer has been replaced by Tobias Moers, head of Mercedes-Benz's AMG division.

Perhaps the result of a failed attempt to jump start A-M sales by replacing the "DB" model names to something with the letter Q? Buh bye, Andy "Face" Palmer. :)

Any word on where he's off to now?
I was never a huge fan of that guy.

Since he was in charge of the Infiniti brand at the time, I'd say yes.

Him and Johan de Nysschen. Not sure who came up with it, but they were both pushing for it.

DeNysschen's previously claim to fame was revising Audi's naming convention to what it's used as today. He did the same thing at Infiniti. He left Infiniti for Cadillac, and go figure, its naming conventions were all changed, but he quit before fully seeing the transition through, which is why we have both the Escalade and CT-# cars.

I'm willing to bet it was far more DeNysschen than Palmer.
