In the last few months our local NICO crew has made a lot of friends among other members in the local scene.

Several Honda/Acura drivers of course came to our March 8th and all our subsequent meets.

Since the local Louisville streets scene is so active we now all hang out at the same parking lots at night and have made many friendships. We all profit from this, for example Joel an Acura driving louisville site member has found an awesome quick waxing product that dealers use.

Looks as good as the traditional waxes, though we doubt it will last quite as long.Still, 2 guys can do a large car like a Q in 10 minutes, (as we did) with fantastic results.

I will have him post more on it soon.

Also, I think we are really raising everyone's consiousness of Nissan/Infiniti by not segrgating ourselves too much.

Example: On Friday night at this one hang out we had several sharp cars to include a newer Corvette and a 2k3 Lancer Evo, yet more peopel hung around my modded Q45 and oohhed over it, than over any other car...:yesnod

That may have been due to my animated+entertaining descriptions of the joys of Q ,more than anything... (:fruit:<-- this is me talking about the Q), but still.......

its usualy a battle between the gas consuming american muscle cars, high torqe at low rmp european cars, and everything thats japanese

i dont really see a rivarly between nissan and honda/acura becase the engine concept is the same

power at higher rpm.

just to put it into perspective.

I dunno,Some of us dont even think of it as a rivaly between domestic us anymore cuz they are so far in tehir own owrld we might as well be by ourselves. But the Honda 's and DSM's are classical Nissan rivals.

i think of nissans inlines as the muscle of the import scene...w/ the iron block/aluminum head combos...i.e. RB, CA, KA...

and then the allmighty SR, which i understand to be all aluminum, well that's the new age engine of the bunch...

nissan boasts high boost, just as toyota (supra), mitsubishi (evo/3000gt) ...and honda boasts high rpm N/A power...which is still not all that much lol

thats really cool. Most places i go nissan guys band together, either because they want to, or because they arent accepted by the honda/accura/dsm guys.

The Subaru guys are pretty close here in Indy. We get together every 1st Tuesday of the month. This weekend they went to the Indy 1500 Gun and Knife show. We constantly have install days, where normally 8 WRX's are getting parts installed or modified. They hate rice just like all of us, but they really dont have rivalries. And they have a healthy respect for Nissans.

Hmmm, well, I think everyone around here has respect for everyone else. There is some DSM separation from everyone else, but most of my friends are honda guys, and they appreciate all imports. We don't have much love for the Neons, Focuses, and Cavaliers who try to be imports, but realy its all sport compact now. On weekends, at midway, which is the place to go to show off and see everyone's cars, you see Honda, Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, and Mitsubishi all together. Mostly Honda cuz it's the most popular, but in my group we have 2 Hondas, my Nissan, and a Toyota. It's all about respect for different tastes.

Wow you guys truely hate dsms, and I don't know why. Are you guys referring to the nonturbo terds like in Fast And Furious, or all dsms including the turbos and turbo awds? Because, after owning a couple awd dsms, I can say that the 4G63 is a very capable and robust, strong engine. My last gsx was making 360 to the wheels before I decided to move on. True I have "seen the light" and I am :bowdown to the RB25 in an S13 idea that I will be attempting to perform as soon as possible. But anyway, I would ask that the dsm hating be directed towards the n/t pastel colored huge antenna looking winged, slow 20" chrome with stickers, rice geeks, while the 11second awd's deserve atleast a little praise.

I respect most any car that isn't modified in poor taste :)

I have friends who have Civics, Preludes (running low 14s!), Celicas, large minivans, even 3000GTs (:drooling). Luckily none of my friends like rice and they do everything in good taste so I don't bash their cars... too much;)

1" ground clearance? I use to get my Caprice Classic airborne with the stock ride height and bottom out. Sparks flying everywhere. The most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Man I miss my Caprices.
