... as a HEAVY weight, at:

95 240sx SE, with ABS/VLSD package, Moonroof, full interior, FMIC, Heavy z32 Rims. - Removed spare/jack - AC Condensor/Compressor/Lines Removed - All emissions removed - Missing cat-back

Well I guess that just means I'm making more power than I thought, and more potential. My rb20 still makes this heavy ***** trap 109 on 13 psi

Damn, your tuning must be better than mine, my car WAS doing well on the highway pulling 2 cars on a modded evo, but at the track I couldn't get it to run happy and I got a 14.1 at 106 on 16 psi...then a little later my bov blew the weld off my pipe...so maybe it was leaking? heh

Nice tho

I guess the weight difference that I see is that you have stock panels where other people got fiberglass ones. How does the gt3255 feels? I got a gt32 but havent got to run it yet.

Yea... not to sure nick.. Honestly mine is a bit of a freak. I also had IC pipe problems (they would pop off whenever I would get a good launch), so I never got a good run in. My best 60' was a 1.998 and the IC pipes popped off and my best mph was just shy of 109 (i think 108.8). So, basically Im pretty sure the car is capable of a 12.8 or 12.9 on 13 psi - stock fuel/tuning.

My only tuning was that I bumped up the timing a bit (maybe a degree or 2) and a manual boost controller. I'm also positive the motor is strong and I have NO boost leaks.. so basically the motor is running very well. Also my A/Fs hang around 11.0:1 so there is even some more power to be made. Honestly I think mine is just kind of a freak, It's almost right there with all the rb25s?!

Although I do think you are missing a bit of power somewhere (what are your A/Fs at, u sure u have no boost leaks, you positive timing is correct?)... Also what is holding you back from running more boost, with 550s the AFM and full tuning control (inc. wideband) u should be able to run around on what 18-20psi on the street and a bit more with race gas at the track (assuming the stock RB headgasket is cool with it).

Yea.. I think the fact that Nick has fiber fenders, lighter wheels, probably no abs, racing seats, no backseat/carpet. probably plays a big role.... I basically have the heaviest 240 you can get ... Again, I can look at the glass as half full, because that means I have more to go with it.

GT3255 is GREAT. It's supposed to be sort of a 50 trim killer. Its a new GT wheel, supports about 450whp (per PTE) and I get 13 psi at about 3700 rpm and it pulls straight to redline. All-in-all I am very happy with the turbo, if it wasnt the gt32 I would be going with the 50trim for sure.. Just can't turn down anything GT for the same price! NOTE GT32 is NON-ballbearing.

I tuned my eprom for 12:1 a/f's this week and was running 17 psi to be safe..it WAS really fast (I thought), but maybe I started getting a leak at the track or something.

My buddy's evo has exhaust, intake, fmic, 21 psi, safc, short throw shifter, lightened flywheel...and from 40-100 I pulled about 2 cars on him..they run a 13.3 stock or so. But when I got to the track the car just hated life....must have been a leak because it didn't want to hold boost between shifts and was running crappy. Oh well, I'd be going to a track tonight but my buddy who welds aluminum is working late.

Yea if it didnt want to hold boost u must have had a leak or a stuck BOV or something. My car hates the track because it doesnt like the launch and then everytime that it does get a good launch the motor torques and my pipes pop off... Not to mention the fact that the right rear strut is COMPLETELY gone, making launching it properly that much harder!

In anycase, I would say if it seemed like it was running really good and u pulled a nicely modded EVO 40-100 2 cars then yea, you should have trapped at least at 110 probably even a bit more.I would say make your self a boost leak tester from home depot for like $15, and check everything out. at one point i had such a bad leak that i pegged my wideband and the car seemed no joke like 50whp slower!

MurrayBTW once its workin out I would def run that thing at 18 psi ... My 550s are in the mail so once I build the maf converter/controller thats what I will be running (18-20 psi at the track)... I would LOVE to see around 120 mph traps.. i dunno if its possible tho with my PIG of a car

I have a boost leak tester, use it several times a week..heh. I just think it was starting to leak last night on the 2 hour drive to the track or something..wasn't used to that much boost.

I'm redoing the piping tomorrow and making it RIGHT this time...no more pipes coming off and stuff. Then, I'm gonna try some more tuning and see what I can do.

My turbo'd probe (1993) I had setup with same turbo, was 10:1 compression and a 2.5L, I ran 10 psi and it did 12.9 (no traction) at 118mph with a very rough tune I did with an SDS setup..it was cutting out at the top of the rpm range in each gear..so I expected a lot last night, because this car feels faster, well it did before last night..heh.
