It causes the timing to be advanced. The level of advancement is highly dependent upon what size injectors he uses (how much reduction in the MAF signal). With 370's, it's not so bad. The main timing concern comes with boost levels over 8-9psi, which would still be present without the timing changes caused by the SAFC2. Most people won't run larger than 550's because of the lack of adjustability and the impact on timing. I'd say he'll be fine.
