Are those '94+ motors?

Just curious, but I noticed the single port intakes and the valve cover studs on the heads.

One is a 94 T/C motor, the other is a std. 92 motor. The 92 motor had skipped time and I picked it up for spare parts/sensors. Little did I know pretty much nothing is the same between the two.

A list of things I've noticed different between the two motors after diassembling them.

Block:92 - Mains are Studded, 94 - Mains are boltedCoolant drain plugs are different

Heads: 92 - Siamese intake ports, 94 - Oval intake ports92 - Valve Covers are bolted w/ RTV, 94 - VC's are studded with gasketsCasting within the head is visibly different92 Valve covers have a removable panel, 94 don't

Intake Manifold:92 - Siamese runners, 94 - Oval runnersVacuum lines are routed differentlyValve cover vents are vented in different positions

Electronics:CAS is differentCoil Packs are differentIgnitor chips are different

I'm sure there's more that I'm not remembering at this time...

If I buy a full engine rebuild gasket set for a 94 motor, what will it include???

Head GasketsVC GasketsIntake Manifold GasketsThe rings between the upper and lower manifoldThrottle Body GasketWater Pump GasketThe O-Rings between the oil pump and blockThe O-Rings Between the Oil Filter Housing and BlockT-Stat Housing GasketsValvestem SealsFront Main SealRear Main SealMiscelaneous o-rings and gaskets I'm forgetting about....

I basically need to know if it's a "true" overhaul set with absolutely every rubber/paper/metal gaket and seal in the motor. I know for other motors this is true...

Will the head gaskets be composite or MLS? The stock stuff was composite, but I've heard people talk about MLS gaskets...

Thanks for the help guys... I will be purchasing through Infiniti BTW, stock stuff seems to be the best.

From what I hear, the siamesed heads were produced until 93, the same time the crappy chain guides were produced. The motors were revised in 94.

Yes, the puilley bolt is going through the plank with the washer so it doesn't pull through. I wasn't sure how long these motors will be apart and it isn't good to store a crank on it's side for prolonged periods of time. That is white oak and there are 12 decking screws holding it up. It isn't going anywhere.

Eventually, would you be willing to sell the '92 block and crank and possibly heads?
