I got a call during work the other day from a random number, a quiet girl with a very soft voice.. "Is this Max?" "Yes ma'am" I reply. She says "did you report a nissan stolen a week and a half ago?", "yes....". She then says "well an officer came across it and he's currently at the sce..." "SHUT THE F**K UP!!!! NO WAY!!!". Wow, later I felt bad for the girl.. I yelled at her with a vengance, lol! Anyway, I hauled *** in my rental car over to the next town where I found my completely intact car sitting on the side of the road.

They stole my parking pass, bent my SAFC mounting bracket, moved my seat forward (bast@rds), and changed the radio to a gay dance hip hop station (I'm gonna kill em..).

Likely either the crackhead just needed a ride to the next town, or he got spooked and thought I saw who he was while chasing after him on foot, and decided to dump the car and bail.

Either way, I dont care at all, I have my baby back. Thank you Jesus. The good lord looked upon me with favor today, and I couldnt be more gratefull to have it back.

I'm finally getting to enjoy the labor I put into my new setup and let me tell you, this manifold/exhaust/turbo sounds amazing! My car misfires at about 5700 rpm, so thats where I've been shifting, my wastegate boost seems to be .4 bar, obviously the car's not very fast at all, and its not tuned, so I dont care to turn up the boost just yet... However, an impatient Lot attendant at my work really wanted to make a preview of my new setup... So here it is!

Hope you enjoy, however the crappy camera quality does not do the sound of this motor justice, there is really no comparison to the exhaust note.

I missed you RB community! And thank you for all of the support, it did not go unappreciated.

Peace~-Max

Congrats man, and I think it's sounds good. How's the spool? You aren't going to use the SAFC to tune it, are you? I'm really interested to see what it's like when you crank that thing up to 1.5 bar and let'er rip

man i'm glad that your whip is back and safe. Can we now move forward and talk about getting a car alarm and you installing your own starter kill switch so you can manually shut that mofo off when you park it. It's what i got and i'm glad i put it in. My car hasn't been broken into anymore and no one has even bothered to take it away from my driveway.

Basically because of your good results, and die hard support for Holset turbos, I decided to take a chance on them. Let me tell you, I could not be happier. Put aside the fact that the turbo looks incredible, makes ridiculous power on the 4G's, and sounds absolutely glorious, it really isnt at all as laggy as I thought it'd be.

Yeah I know I'm only running .4-.5 bar, but I hit full boost in 1st by about 4500, 4200 in 2nd, and before 4 in 3rd and so on. Its much more responsive than I thought for how massive this turbo is. Carl does my tunes, obviously we havent got around to making one just yet, but the rev limiter will be set at about 8200 to give me more of a power band to compensate for the later spool. SAFC is just for monitoring stuff and making small adjustments.

Yeah, thats the plan for today, going to help a buddy put in a LSD and wire me in a kill switch

i myself am a fan of the reedswitch window magnet kill switch inline with the fuel pump...you can put it almost anywhere and just remove the magnet when you want to disable the car...simple to do to boot.

Thanks man, When one of the service writers at my dealership heard about my car getting stolen he said he literally cried. Lots of the guys at my work saw the 2 months of work that went in to all the recent repairs and new turbo setup, the car's become a lot more than just one of the technician's forms of transportation here at the shop.

The exhaust is custom from the turbo all the way into the Blitz Nur Spec can. The can's sound deadening is completely gone, its 100% for looks. Its 3 inch coming off of the turbo, and all the way down to right past the steering column, which then merges into 3.5" all the way back, no mufflers, no reasonator. You probably wont find this note from any combination of DP/turbo elbow/catback.

Seriously matt, it doesnt matter what exhaust you run on an rb20, it can never ever ever sound bad. Just make sure it unrestricted.

Thanks again everyone! I got my little projects done today and there's no work tomorrow, so I'll head down to get a price on an alarm system.

After the Diff install, me and my friend went to the dealership to detail our cars, and check out my brothers new ST165 Celica All trac. Here's some pics... By the way, my friend is definately a devoted drifter, and I'm absolutely not, can you tell by our cars? haaa...

This picture didnt turn out near as cool as I had planned...

Hope you like!
