can the analog SAFC with the five knobs be used on a KA-T project? I've only run SAFC II and a frend wants to boost his KA with 370ccs t28 and a n60 maf. How effective is it with a wideband tune too cuz I hear you have to find a happy median for the settings, or is that the single analog SAFC?

It would be an incredible waste to try to use the old knob style SAFC. Remember, the new MAF will require an altered return signal to the ECU. The old SAFC cannot do that.

Also, the old unit has no way to differentiate between high and low throttle, so it'll always be rich in the mid to upper RPM areas when not in boost.

ecu can run an n60 and 370cc injectors like stock cuz they compensate for eachother (Jordan Galdman on KA-T.org), so it can run just like 1 to 1 and the ratio can be adjusted at the knobs right???

What about the high/low throttle resolution? You might need +10% in some high throttle areas of the 4500rpm range, but -10% in the same rpm range, under low throttle.

It can work, but it's not going to be very nice. It'll be kinda choppy in certain places and you won't have the fine tuneability that you'd get with at least the SAFC1 digital version.

Why do people insist on cheaping out on the most important part of the turbo project? You could make a leaf blower work well with the right tuning. But terrible tuning won't fix even the best GT series turbo setup.

ok, well thx. I just needed some good full info on this subject. I might give him my SAFC II also since i have my PLMS board installed now....

i know with the SAFC analog it was always about finding that happy median where it worked the best......
