Analog Instrument Cluster with HUD on windshield 240sx

Hey guys!

Im new to nico and need important info. I have a HUD instrament cluster in my dash right now and want to install an analog instrament cluster but still want to HUD to show up on the windshield. Does anyone know what i have to do or what i have to rewire to make this idea work? I have both HUD and analog clusters with both harnesses. Thanks!

Alot of wiring will be required. And somehow you have to still have the digital speedo attached (since that's what powers the hud part). If you search, you will see this question has been asked a couple times.

The short answer is: no... unless you have a lot of time/resources/some money on your hands.

awww u guys are trying to take it off. and here I am trying to take my 92 one off and install a 90 digi one on I put muh harness together already but not sure if it will work with my 92 wires havent tried it yet since my car is a daily driver n cant afford to have it not working.

Yeah..i think it'll be cool and it's going to be my first DIY on any forum so we'll see how it goes.

I was thinking about making a plug and play harness for this job with detailed intructions and selling it for a decent price on here to anyone who wants to do it.

I dont know why you would want to switch to a analog gauge cluster. The digital one is freakin awesome. I had hud in my last coupe (VeeBee's car) and I always left the hud off on the winshield, I thought it was annoying. Although I loved the gauge cluster, and I never had problems out of it.

No i want the digital on my car Instead of the analog. I got the rest of the wires i was missing from the junkyard so i combined the junkY cables to my digi cluster, I just wonder IF it will work to my existing wires. any advice guys?? Digital cluster looks so nice n looks newer too

OHHH, Well from what ive always understood, the digital gauge cluster is swapable with the analog one. Ive had a couple of frend do it to there S13's. So if yo dont figure it out I could ask them how they did it.By the way, the digital gauge cluster is far cooler the analog I think.

Its a preference issue. I've always loved the look of watching the needle fly so I got LS automotive to customize an existing analog cluster for me and its all REAL carbon fiber with a 180 MPH not KM gauge and the tach was calibrated for my RB26. I liked the digital HUD though so I wanted to make the best of both worlds. Plus you can switch the HUD from MPH or KM. So if you really wanted to you could have the MPH analog cluster with KM up on the HUD. PLUS it's UNIQUE

This threads ooollllddddto swap from digi to analog u need the Harness for the analog the two r different if you want a Digi HUD with analog cluser you'd have to somehow wire the Huds wires to the analog cluster. The analog cluster doesn't have a connection for the digi HUD
