analog gauge clusgter swap

i have an 89' with the digital gauge cluster that has not worked since i bought the car. i've had the car for almost 2 years with no speedometer. i recently bought an analog gauge cluster off ebay that the seller said came out of another sohc. so i ripped out my old cluster yesterday( a *****!) and the 2 clusters dont match. the ebay cluster has 3 connector locations and my old digital cluster has 2 connector locations similar to the ones on the analog, but then a male/female plug the connects to the electronic speedometer. do i have the wrong cluster(a dohc one) or do i need to get a new wiring harness? i am 240less until i figure this out.

Did you really think that it was going to be that easy. I am not sure but I think you have to convert over the wires too. Not totally sure, My friend did it to his I will ask him when I get a chance.

u need the harness for the analog cluster theyre diffrent than the hud i got a few lying around btw

the same thing happened to me..

i swapped my digital for the analog cluster and here's how it goes...

u do need the analog cable for the cluster and instead of two connections it has three(as u already noticed).

just connect it in the back and your done...

just make sure you get the SOHC cluster..otherwise i dont think it'll work

if u have trouble finding the cable just go to any junk yard and get it yourself, it cant be more than like $5.00...(lol mine was free)
