My 90Q's clock has slowed and loses roughly .5 hrs a day. I'm considering taking it apart and lubing it.

I'm thinking 20W50 should suffice?

Joking...I'm going to get that super light lubricant from Radio Shack. Not having opened one these clocks before, I have no idea what to expect. Let me learn from your mistakes or good experiences if you've tried this before. If I lose patience, I'm just going to blast it with silicon.

I performed a search on the board but found nothing of substance ...aside from some lucky sob who got one for free.

No dice on both. One is sold and the other is not working.

rsiwicki..... Thanks for the ebay link...

I've been watching it a few days now and will probably bid on the last day providing it's not too high. The seller has been getting top dollar for his items which were claimed to be removed from a 91Q with 45K miles.

I was also eyeing his climate control unit... It went for $157+ shipping! I would have gone up to $75 on it but no higher... he says the display worked fine. Jerry Tucker fixes them for $100 and I also believe there is a post that shows where to re-solder to fix the blank display. Years ago, I had re-soldered every connection I could find and it still didn't work.

I think it was a bad batch of resistors in the board. Try a search on that if you want to DIY. Hope it helps. Jerry Tucker "fixed" mine but now it goes blank occasionally ...again.
