Getting ready to R&R my strut assemblies and noticed the torque bar on my 3.5 looked sketchy.

A new one was $20 shipped and a bit of finagling was necessary to access the top bolt (I used vice grips to bend the strut stabilizer) and had to pull the PS reservoir to remove the engine attachment.

I don't expect major operational changes (no issues before R&R and yet to test drive) but feel better knowing I have a new one in place!

I have a pic but see no way to add. Help?

I just had mine replaced at 83k miles. It's a motor mount, and you dont have to bend the strut assembly, just take out the 2 bolts and a clip and it will flex enough to get the top bolt out.

My rubber was coming apart, and my mechanic said it wasn't a huge issue, but could lead to the bottom mounts going bad, which are hard to get to and expensive to replace.

Thanks for the tip on removal of the top bolt. I'll remember that for next time :).
