.....well, for me it is.

My radiator is leaking, from the inlet at the top of the engine bay.

So I took it to a radiator repairer, and they can replace the end tank nice and cheap for me. (By the way guys, a 300zx or Z32 as you know it, is a perfect fit/replacement end tank )

Anyway, while I was waiting for them to give me a quote for the repairs, I was wandering around the car, thinking about what wheels I could fit to the Q. I reached under the guard to check how difficult it would be to roll the lip of the guards, and discovered they had already been rolled!

I am guessing the Japanese owner had some decent wheels fitted, but replaced them with some stock wheels before sending the car to the auctions.

Now my search for wheels can include some more "out there" wheel fitments!

Do it!

FX45 20's.... except, you won't need to roll anything for those.

Check out the stuff OTG posted in the wheel fitment thread.

Front and rear or just one?

I think a close inspection finds that the top inner edge on the rears makes one think they've been rolled, but it's just how they come from the factory.

I'd not want to break the superior corrosion sealing the G50 has either by creasing it. In particulaar, if one examines how the fender lip is formed, it is a very strong design that adds stifness and resists damage from impact.

Nope, they are definitely rolled, pressed up flat against the panel(not 100% flat though), but still perpendicular to the panel near the lower edges.

Only the rears have been rolled.

I didn't have a choice in the matter, the car came from Japan like that.

I actually emailed him about some of the wheels I have been looking at, to get his opinion on fitment difficulties.I like the FX45 20's but are impossible to get here, and I am also concerned with trying to find tyres with a high enough load index. I'm going to stick with 18's.

Oh yeah, the whole idea was to find some wheels with a bit of dish.... (Great minds think alike!)

if you do it right you wont crack the paint... IE using an actual fender roller and using a low temp torch to warm the metal up before bending it.

Do you ever say anything that isn't contradictory?

Also I wanted to let you know that when you drive your car you are going to wear out your wheel bearings faster-just something to think about (also goes for tires).
