I have to laugh when I see this. I went over to the guy's house on the 10th of October because I was looking into buying it partially because it had active. He said that the car had belonged to his grandmother and that she owned it since new. I noticed that he gives a different story on how he got the car in his post. He also told me that the active worked when I asked him. The first thing I noticed when I got there was after he opened the hood, the active had been disabled for what looked like a few years. I also noticed that the hydraulic lines going to the rear struts had been cut with a hacksaw. The people couldn't just tuck the lines out of the way. Yet they left the lines on the front intact. He says that one day he couldn't get the car to start, so, I figured that it may have been a bad starter relay so I took mine with me. It was missing all of the belts on the engine and the pulleys had some rust on them which tells me that the reason it won't start is because he had been running the car with no belts so the battery was flat. The alternator only had 1 bolt holding it on. When I mentioned to him about the belts and alternator, he said that he had some guy that he knew replace the starter. I don't know what that had to do with the starter. Already this is starting to look like he is making up stories. In the ad he states that the car has been garage kept and is prestine. I personally looked at the car and from what I could tell, the last time it had seen a garage on a regular bases was maybe 4 or more years ago. The dash was peeling up from sun damage, the carpet was faded. The carpet was burgundy and faded to a bleached tan color. You can see this in one of the photos of the back seat. It has aftermarket floormats and the car's original exterior color was burgundy also. The underside has a good deal of rust. More then I have seen with the 5 others that I have had in the past. I also found a significant amount of bondo under the right rear inner fender. When I mentioned to him about the rust and bondo, his comment is that it is an 18 year old car. I offered him $350 but he wouldn't take less than $600. He also said that the car was a limited 1 year anniversary edition and that the rims that are on it are the original. I don't know if there is such a thing after 1 year. I haven't heard of this for as long as I have been into G50s. Anybody else heard of this?
