An idea: 2001 QX4 rear hatch on a 1999.5

My rear hatch has 3 spots where rust is starting.....under the glass starting to leak out to the exterior, and the bottom corner is bubbling, also the rear glass has one spot that the glass is showing some oxidization ill be fixing it sometime but....just an idea...if i came across a 2001-2003 QX4 rear hatch, or even a pathfinder rear hatch, will it fit? that includes the lifts, and im guessing id have to do some wiring for the cabling to the 3rd brake light, license lights, rear defrost (dont really need it) and the reverse lights (which id throw hyper xenons in)...

just an idea.....i love the rear hatch on the newer qx4's wouldnt mind it on mine, or even a pathfinder rear hatch, just rebadge the qx4/infiniti logos.

im pretty sure the pathfinder hatches dont have the button that releases the glass on the hatch like the Q does so consider that.

probably have to rig something if your to get a pthfinder hatch to get the window button to work.

it looks like it will fit but i never tried it.

i know the tail lights will swap right over..... the 2001+ QX4 has the reverse lights on the hatch, so the tail lights only have brake and turn signal. I want the 2001+ tail lights but i like having reverse lights

Or you could keep the 99 tail lights and go 2003 tailgate, and have not two, but FOUR reverse lights all hooked up and working

yeah ive seen 03 taillights on a 99ish q. it looked alright! but i love my tails lol Im guessing a good condition hatch from a newer q would cost around $400...but if i came across one, hmmm lol
