airstream2go is the only official airstream rental company in America to rent the iconic trailers. Their exclusive deal also includes a 2014 GMC Sierra to pull it with. While I do think this would be an absolutely fun experience, I can't say that I think it would be worth the $3850 price tag for 5 days w/ a 23-footer, or the staggering $14,420 for two weeks in a 28-footer. :wtf2: I can get a helluva nice SUV, lots of hotel rooms and food and gas and souvenirs (for a big family), for $14,420. AND I don't have to worry about negotiating that monstrosity through traffic or parking it. :shifter:

I also did a little research and found out that if staying in an Airstream trailer is on your bucket list, there are plenty of designated "Airstream parks" around the country that you can visit for way cheaper.

If you had the money to spend, would you ever consider a vacation like this or not?

IMO if i wanted to drop 14 grand in two weeks for a vacation. I'd have to have the kind of money where I'd be wiping my a$$ with it.
Like literally trying to get rid of money.
But this would be low on my priorities of things I'd spend my money on.
I'd invest in a motorsports park ( or drag strip) if I had money to throw away before i get one of these for two weeks.

Even then, I'd rather get on a boeing and fly somewhere i've never been.

I figured it up. We could go on a three week vacation to Colorado, The Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Glacier Nat'l Park, Seattle, Portland, the Redwood Forest, San Francisco, Santa Barbara, San Diego. (It's my dream vacation). We could rent a minivan- with insurance-, take the whole family, get 3 HOTEL rooms every night (or a cabin in some places), feed everyone 3 meals a day, and pay for gas for <$12,000. Lots closer to $11,000. Not that I'm ready to drop money like that on a vacation I'm just saying I could get a helluva lot more for our money than just renting a truck and trailer for 2 weeks.

Yeah I'd have to be in some sort of Brewster's Millions type scenario to do something like this.

I wonder how well this campaign will work for them? I can't imagine that most of the people who could afford this type of vacation would take this type of vacation.

Bex, that vacation you came up with sounds awesome. Gather up the willing and able NICOnauts and we can roll out next year. I'll start my "NICO road trip" fund from now.

Been there, done that...twice... :D

Oh...and if you do that, hit Rainier, Mt. St Helens, and Crater Lake...just make sure you're late enough in the year that you can actually go in. Same applies for Glacier...and sometimes Yellowstone (we've been through with 10' of snow on the sides of the road in the middle of June).

Cough...Mount Hood is obviously the superior mountain to Rainier.

A price tag like that combined with what you get leads me to believe that somebody in that company is trying to launder some money...
