Interesting read but she does not scare Republicans. They know that all they have to do is wait it out, stonewall as long as they can and they can do whatever they want later. Republican leaders and lawmakers have conservatives and middle Republicans buffaloed into voting for them despite the fact that they don't care a bit about them. Same for Democratic leaders and lawmakers.

People like Warren, who really care, will continue be trotted out there for the purpose of hiding what is going on behind the scenes from the majority of voters. This makes Obama look like he really gives a rat's behind when he doesn't. He knows that when he is done being President he will have his already and Warren will be run out of town as the winds in Washington shift.

O sweet Irony. As if the Republicans are the only ones in the banks' pocket. The bill's namesakes are are main contributors the collapse. Between their push to force banks to loan to risky applicants and the Repubulicans evicerating regulation anybody who wants oversight scares them both.
