This is what my buddy called me but I am willing to try different products, I would just like to try Amsoil first and see how it treats me. So here is what I bought, a filter for the G with the0W-30 Signiture Series oil. I bought gear oil for the differential and for the transmission and I bought some DOT 4 Brake fluid for the not sure yet I need more for the brakes and probably isn't neccesary for the clutch but I might end up using it on the clutch anyways. I will try to keep everyone posted on the results.

I paid $155 for all of this. The guy I get it from just gives it to me at his cost. Sounds like a lot but switching to synthetics can save the mechanical parts of the car that can cost a lot more to replace down the road. All I have got to change is my oil so far I need to get the rest done still. Speaking of changing fluids do you guys use jacks or ramps, I always have to use the flat tire jack to get my floor jack under the car, I would like to have ramps but didn't know if they would work.

With the drop on 350z suspension, I use a 2x4 and a 4x4 to get the floor jack underneath so I can use jackstands.

How much do you pay per quart on the motor oil? and the gear oil?

I use RP in the gear & engine. ATF is NISSAN, not recommended to swap.

I use Rhino Ramps. If the car is too low (had a really low SVT Cobra due to dropping it), I put 2x10's in front of the ramps. Can also drive the car up on the 2x10's to get a floor jack under it.I prefer ramps.

I love my Royal Purple.... and if this is any better than the RP that I use... well then this is good $hit

I use a really old pair of steel ramps that was My grandfathers. I have to put a patio stone in front of the ramps so that the bumper doesn't rub.

Here is my setup.

4 ton and 3 ton hydraulic jacks, ramps, jack stands, creeper, old plastic shower curtain that the wife told me to throw out, assorted 1/2 & 1/4 inch drive mm sockets. Checkout Sears for specials.

It is never safe to go under a vehicle using the supplied jack.

Telco,

I don't understand why you use a jack if you have ramps?? I guess you can never be too safe though.

So how is it? Did you notice a difference? c'mon really? Don't let your aspirations speak for your true experience with the new oil. Give us the details as best you can... oh and thanks

Well I have been using the oil now for awhile this is my second change of it I went about 10000miles on the first 6 quarts I changed the filter after 5000, the only improvement that I can justify is about a 2MPG increase other than that I don't know how I would be able to physically tell a performance difference. I am hoping once I get the gear oil in though that shifts will be smoother. We will see.

I use RP and the feeling of the car at between 4500 and 5000 rpm is totally insane. I also have test pipes. At these rpm ranges, the car feels like a bosted car when i stomp on the gas. I love RP.

I also feel that Nissans Manual Transmission and differential fluids are excellent. My 6 MT shifts excellently with Nissan fluids. I tried synthetic fluids in my transmission and differential, and i did not like it one bit---felt too hard on shifting.
