AMS tuning in Gaithersburg, MD?
Hey guys, I just bought my first 240sx (95 SE) on Thursday and am brand new to this site. I am already thinking about an SR swap but dont have the tools or a garage to do it myself. Has anyone heard of Atlantic Motorsports Tuning (AMStuning.com) located in Gaithersburg, Maryland? No affiliation with AMS Performance. Their web site says they specialize in SR swaps, but of course they'd say that. I've searched a few different forums and no ones talkin about them. Anybody get any work done their?

LOL , JE is a good shop but James charges a little to much $ if you ask me.

yeah his prices are too high for me plus he blew my friends motor up on the dyno. He ran it on 18psi instead of 8psi. Scares me a little cuz i want him to tune my car when i do my swap, not so sure now. But Mid-Atlantic Motosports is damn good, ive seen their shop and it aint bad

With mid atlantic have you asked bout pricing? A bout a year ago I went there to price a CA and they wanted too much. I asked the guy about bringing the price down and he said he would have to talk to the owner and get back to me. I looked up the web site and the guy I was talking to was the owner.lol Oh well. thats a hike though. what about Turbo XS or altered in airpark. Im sure andrew tech could do a street tune. Or that shop in Rockville off Gude. They always have evos or s13s outside but Ive never stopped by. The number to Altered Atmosphere is 301 330 8835.

I thought altered atmosphere mostly worked on vq33de's? I guess I'll check anyway.

Chances are, if I ever have the money to do an SR swap I'll probably go to MAMS since I've heard some good things. But I doubt I have any money soon, since I have a son on the way.
