Hi, Im installing alpine spr 69 and alpine spr 60 with alpine ktp-445 ( 4 channel 45 watts x 4 RMS at 4 ohms) on my 2011 nissan rogue (Factory Headunit) does any body know if the rogue has speaker level inputs? so i could just simply splice at the deck or do need line converter??

thanks

Do you have the Bose or non-Bose unit? If you have the Bose unit then you cannot add an additional amp to most of the system components. If you have the non-Bose system, you will have to use a line converter (assuming adding an amplifier would still be possible). I myself have not done this in the Rogue. Instead, I took out the h.u. and started fresh.

^^^ +1...exactly what he said. You probably can use a line converter on a non bose unit, but I would deff start fresh and replace the head unit. Even a cheap one is better then stock.

Agreed. Head unit really ups the sound quality compared to stock. However, if you do already have the equipment and plan to install with out a head unit, yes a Line Out converter is needed.

Here's a view of the backside of an OEM 2011 GPS equipped head unit.
List price is $3,500 USD, which is insane! :wtf2:

I have the Bose system and I was able to integrate the stock amp and sub to my my aftermarket HU and additional amp and 2 12's. For some reason, the Bose sub does not seam to be working atm so I need to take a look it. At some point of time I'll see whats wrong but with 2 12's it's not like the stock 5" inch can even be noticed.
Unless you have done a few installs and are comfortable understanding wiring diagrams then I would not suggest installing a new HU. If you want the best sound quality then a new HU is the way to go. Adding a line out converter will distort sound quality even further.
For ~$400, you can get some really good double din head units. You would also have additional outputs for more system upgrades with a new HU.

Seriously? Dealers should just start pointing guns at their customers and instead of asking for their money, ask for their unborn child :bang

He was referring to keeping the stock backup cam, rather then adding a new one. Nice options though. There's a cool rear view I've been looking at, doubles as a dash cam ;)

Apparently we can'd do quotes on quotes on quotes... lol

Oops, I must have misunderstood his post.

That's an interesting setup you found. Would be a great for an install video and review write up (hint).

Either you or someone else mentioned sonicelectronix.com but I'm not familiar with them. Just looked them up at http://www.resellerratings.com/ and the reviews are very positive, scoring 9.1 with over 1,000 reviews.

I've run into the multi-quote limit before. What a hemorrhoid!

Very interesting indeed. A buddy of mine is planning to buy it for his WRX. If he does, I'll be sure and write a review on it as I want one too.

I stumbled upon Sonic electronix about 4-5 years ago. Had an awesome experience, and have been using them ever since. Great customer support and their prices are very, very fair. Kinda my one-stop-shop for audio now, except for amp kits. Those I stick to knukonceptz.com.

do you think does rear view mirror setup would work on factory back up camera?. I might change my mind if it does :)
