Not sure if this is common knowledge here, but I figured I'd share.

If you're installing an amplifier or other electronics/vac lines which need to go from engine bay to cabin, you can avoid drilling any holes by running wires through this existing hole in the fender well.

This rubber plug leads into the cabin, but you can replace it with a 1.25" or so grommet.

  • Remove wheel and fender liner
  • Remove door sill and kick panel trim
  • Tape your wires/vac lines to a coat hanger
  • Pull through hole
  • Install in cabin
No need to breach the firewall. There's one on either side of the car, so regardless of RHD or LHD, there's one near the battery.
