So i plan to install an amp/subwoofer. The amp is going to be under the passanger seat, but how do i wire the Power cable from the batt. to the inside of the car, its really tough to get it through the firewall. Is there a link/pics i can see how the routing goes?

I drilled a hole on the drive side firewall. I used a pretty long drill bit

There's a hole behind the passenger side fender splash guard for the wiring harness you can snake it through there and into the car, there should be a rubber boot or elbow I poked a hole through it and sealed it up with silicone once I had it where I wanted it. It comes out near the ECU, its a good route because once you get it through the firewall you can pop it out into the engine bay right next to the battery.

Also, don't run the RCA's and the power cables next to each other, it can cause interference.

Yea i figured that.....im assuming you ran the RCA/Remote cable through the center consol out to the back then cut a hole through the carpet? (assuming ur amp is under the passanger seat)

I have mine in the trunk, I ran the power on the passenger side, and RCA's/remote underneath the carpet on the drivers side, under the trim all the way back.

I have the same setup. Problem is my amp doesnt allow my passenger seat to lock in place when its sitting too far back, so sometimes if i have to slam on my brakes the person in shotgun goes for a ride! lol

As long as you're not screwing into brake lines.

I am looking to run wires back to my speakers from a mini-amp behind the head unit (one of those baby alpine amps). Can someone suggest what wires to use to splice into that run to the back speakers. Thinking of another amp to sit on that little ledge behind the seats. What is the bes way to run an amp to that location or to behind the passanger seat. Again looking at a mini-amp or possily even a powered sub box there. How does one get power to that stuff and could I use it off the ABS system back there or even the power antenna (tha has been removed)? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Welcome to Nico.

You can run power through where these guys did, in the hole in the passenger side fender, and it runs right up to the battery.

For the mini amp behind the HU, just plug into the factory harness and use the OEM wires. It's the simplest way.

This is a mini amp; anyone know the wiring of the old speaker support amps with each speaker. Can I get power, ground, and control from those current wires. What is the best way to ID them? I don't have a toner (IT world).
