I just got an amp and want to start the install tomorrow. I am looking for a clean install of the power feed wiring from the battery to the rear of the car. i was thinking of going under to the transmission shift opening and then run under the carpet under rear seat to the rear hatch area. Has anyone done it this way and if not what route did you take with the wiring from the battery to the rear hatch area?

I ran the gauge wire throught the firewall on the passenger side, there should be a rubber piece just run through there and you should be fine. Then go under the carpet and back seats thats what I did to mines. I also drilled the amp fuse on top of the fuse box next to the battery.

I relocated my battery so I don't think my setup will help but I did think about running it next to the fuel lines before I move the battery. Or running against the frame rail to the groumet by the spare tire very clean.

most definitely dont go into the car behind the firewall, go in through one of the many holes that are already available in the firewall, and work your way back from there. and i also recommend a grommet if you have less than 4awg wire. TRUST me on this one.
