I am looking at the Alpine 7995. I've heard good things from retailers and it sounds good with infinitys, but does anyone know this HU?

Also looking at Infinity perfects 5.25s (or 6.5s) up front and kappa 693.5s in the rear.

Any recommendations on an amp to power it all. I just want something clean to power the infinitys. I don't need/want anything too powerful or expensive. I won't be adding a sub or anything else to the system anytime soon as this is already costing $700 on the card.

Any comments on the choice of speakers and HU in terms of quality for the money are also appreciated.

btw HU= $355, components = $215, and 6x9s = $133

Save like 20 bucks or so and just get 692.5i for rear because you wont notice any difference. The us acoustics amps are great for the money. Check thezeb.com for us acoustics stuff at a great deal or even crutchfield....i think they were like 10 bucks more but for the 3 year warranty and live tech support it was worth it.

There have been a couple of threads discussing favorite HU brands. I'd say most people on here would agree that for the dollar, either a recent Alpine or Pioneer HU will be excellent. Alpine has been making quite a push lately, squeezing in quite a few good features into their units for the price. I've used many different brands over the years, and recommend Alpine. Excellent quality and excellent value.

Infinity's are okay, but for the same amout of Money I think the Crystal CSc60s (Components) and Crystal CXe693 (6x9's) are a much better choice. Its hard to suggest speakers to people, because everyone has their own taste, and of course its best if you can go somplace to Audition them, but this isn't always possible. Alpine HU's are very nice.
