Hey everybody, I just installed XM today to the factory radio and for some reason I have to turn the radio almost up to the max when listening to XM,but FM/AM and the CD is perfect. Can someone recommend a amplifier to tie into the factory speakers.I have a 04 Max SE without the Bose system.I have the Clarion factory radio w/ in dash CD player with SAT button and no navigation.

Is it an aftermarket XM unit or one that ties in to the factory stuff? On a lot of aftermarket units there's actually a volume control in the unit's settings. Also, if you're using an aftermarket unit and are using an FM modulator, that makes the sound quality pretty bad. If you can wire it to the headunit (if it isn't already), that will result in the best quality.

Its a aftermarket unit that ties into the factory radio. It's marketed by Integration Solutions. The kit comes with a interface to hook up your Ipod/XM/AUX. It comes with a Terk XM tuner,Axxes interface, factory radio harness and aux cable. There is no volume control only through your radio.
