I have a car amp that is 100W capacity and has two 25A fuses.I accidently cut the wire that goes from this amp to the battery in the engine room so I need to reconnect.

I am thinking about buying this amp intallation kit which has 60A AGU fuse.

Can I use 60A AGU fuse with this amp?

You should use the factory provided/rated fuse at the amp, but can use nearly any fuse (up to 100A) at the abttery. The primary purpose of the fuse closest to the battery is to prevent the car from burning to the ground if the main power wire were to "ground" itself to the chassis.

that 8 gauge kit will do you just fine you won't have any problems with it as long as you install it correctly.

buy name brand kits though cause i have seen people get a 4 gauge kit with more plastic surround than wire.. like a 8 gauge wire with enough plastic to make it look like 4 gauge

HOloy crap. two 25a fuses on a 100w amp! May be a bit underrated

That comes to 600w @ 12V and 720w @ 14.4

What kind of amp is that?

Use the smallest fuse you can get away with. The fuse at the battery is to protect the car in the event of short. Over fusing can dump LOTS of current to the chassis.

Make sure you try to fuse the battery lead within 12-18 inches of the battery and no further.

I was thinking the same thing. It could be an Mmatts and stable to .5 ohm? Anyhow, with a true 100w amp, the biggest fuse you'd need is 15amp and 10ga wire. (Watts/volts=amps)
