Hey Guys...I'm sure a lot of you out there have installed after market radios and amps in your Z32. My question is what is the best path way to run the wire. I'm assuming since the battery is on the right side of the car, logic says to run the wire from that side. Did you guys drill a hole with a uni-bit near the battery and ran the wire on the passenger side? :wtf2: If so, where? I don't want to re-invent the wheel here cause i'm sure its been done hundred time before. Thanks in advace guys! :bigthumb:

Never ever drill holes if you don't have to. And luckily with the Z32, you don't have to :) The hole below exists, and is covered by a rubber plug.

From the inside, you remove the door sill plastic trim, kick panel trim, and you can access the hole. I believe it's a 1.25" OD x0.75" ID grommet I used. You could goop it with silicone if you felt better about it, but the fender liner covers all that.

Basically, yes.

Remove wheel,

remove wheel liner

wrap and tape power wire (and in my case other signal wires and a vac line) to a coat hanger and fish it through the hole

Pull through in interior, remove coat hanger and THEN voila :)

This is a mirror image of what it looks like before removing the cap:

And on the driver side I ran the feed line for my methanol injection system:
