Hosting Organization(s) Slidewize Motorsports Event Type Drifting Event Date(s) 25-Apr-2008 to 26-Apr-2008 Event Description/Schedule Drift Event with a twist. This will be a competition like no other !!! 1000$ to win 500$ 2nd and 250$ 3rd (Prize $ based on a 40 car count) This Event will be a hybrid of Drifting and Auto X with an emphasis on drift driving skills ! The course will be run on the clock with designated sections that must be drifted to avoid Grip strike penalties (time added ) and mechanical clip indicators that if hit will subtract time also Bonus time removed for clean runs. We will take the first 50 drivers to preregister . Preregistration must be in by 4-20-08 or 25$ is added to Reg. fee of 150$. Friday April 25 gates open @ 7:00am Competitors must sign in and be teched by 9:00 am Drivers meeting @ 10:00 am round One eliminations starts@ 11:00 am we will take the top ten Competitors from Fri. event to compete for the money on sat 12:00 PM to 3:00 PMthis event will be run in conjunction with Hot-orama / http://www.hot-orama.com and all competitors will receive 2 pit pases & 2 free tickets to the weekend events Event Location Shasta raceway park Street Address 1890 Briggs Street City Anderson State or Province CA Postal/Zip Code 96007 Country USA for more info contact Jerry Shaha at [email protected] also at http://www.myautoevents.com under drifting

Why wouldnt you support something like this? What if it was local to Sac? Seat time is seat time.

comps are not for seat time.

its VERY important to differentiate that there is a BIG difference between a competition and a practice event.

yea seat time is seat time... but have u seen the video its just manjing around some cones, not really drifting. and with time? not as fun. slidewize events are not fun. ever been to one last year? lame. a practice for beginners/ameuters with judging? no way.
