Is there any easy way to install footwell ambient lighting like in the Sentra or Civic? You can get it as an option on them. I know the Escape also has this option as an accessory as well (to compare something in the same crossover category). I'd think it look cool with orangish red lighting there.

Led strip light can do ithttp://www.v-leds.com/Strip-Li.../truebut the only problem is you have to find a place to wire itAlso, it only has white, blue, and red for the color

Edited: Just saw that they have amber color for the 12 inches one

Speaking of lighting, I miss the courtesy lights the Altima had. They were located on the bottom edge of the door and illuminated the footwell when the interior lights were on or when the door was opened, the ground around the door.

Sure ... its not all that hard. Most LED light kits are pre-wired. Simply place the pre wired LED light strips up under the dash shinning down and under the seats shinning out. With these kits, all you need to do is find a 12V source under the dash (usually at the fuse block) and tie into it. You can either mount a SPST remote switch under the dash within easy reach... (or a little trickyer) tie into the existing interior light circuit so they come on when you open the door. Run the wires under rocker panel molding and carpeting.

While LED light strips are pretty easy to find, LEDGlow and Fyre Flys have made a good dent in cornering the LED interior accent lighting market. here are plenty of LED light strips on the market...

Fyre Flys: There are several suppliers of Fyre Flys light stips but probably the best selection... all in one place... is one eBay:

Here some other references which are highly regarded in a specific LED forum:

Quote »Search ebay with these terms "Fantastic wide viewangle cluster 8pcs" to find them. Be sure you get the wideangle and not the narrow angle. ...Don't choose the 3chip-3-LED versions as they have flickering issues sometimes.[/quote]If you prefer to deal with an american company (same products), here another ebay store selling these LEDs: http://stores.shop.ebay.ca/FCB...em322

The good thing with these is they have mounting holes to install them in the car. They seem really reliable, more than most led strips sold on ebay.

Please do, I've been thinking of adding these myself. Something other than the little hole with the orange light in the ceiling which Nissan calls mood lighting, lol.

I actually find it very useful. Provides good lighting of the center console at night without too much or too harsh a light.

Wow, that does look good! Tempts me to get lighting for the rear seats too. Probably won't though, seeing as how I don't often have people in the back seats.

NoI have a GPS, a radar detector that need powers so I buy a 3 way split with on/off switch which you can see from the picture. I connect all the lights to the third switch and hide all the wires for it so all you can see is lights
